Lifecycle

Every state an agent can be in.

Select a state to see what it means. The same words appear in your account, so nothing on your screen is a surprise.

Setup required

Installed, but it can’t work until you open it and connect an AI provider. A browser login to ChatGPT doesn’t count, because the agent needs its own connection.

Keep it healthyUpdate, restart, repairUpdates show the installed and available versions first. If your own changes conflict with an update, it stops and asks you to review. Repair appears only when a problem is reported.

Step backExport or uninstallExport downloads a private archive. Uninstall removes the program but keeps its conversations, settings and backups so you can reinstall later.

Remove for goodDelete permanentlyOffers an export first, then asks you to type DELETE. Removes that agent’s data and connections, never your computer, Files, or your other agents.

Hermes Agent and OpenClaw are independent open-source projects. Their names belong to their creators. KeepOak hosts them and doesn’t claim to be endorsed by either.

Keep this private

An exported archive can contain provider credentials and private settings. Store it like a password. KeepOak support will never ask you for passwords, API keys or sign-in codes.
